On Friday September 20th Dawn O’Porter, her best friends and a large crowd of people gathered in Bush Hall for a ball in aid of Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Fridays campaign. The ball was organised by Breast Cancer Care and sponsored by Andrex. We also used this party as chance to launch THE BOOBY TRAP AND OTHER BITS AND BOOBS, which was compiled by Dawn O’Porter and £1 of every book goes to Breast Cancer Charities.
The evening was filled with special guests such as Gemma Cairney, Cherry Healey, Chris O’Dowd and Laura Dockrill and many other people who had also contributed stories and poetry to THE BOOBY TRAP.
In the week leading up to the Best Friends Ball, we asked everyone on Twitter to share their ‘Biggest Boob Secret’ to win two tickets to the ball. The responses had us giggling all day and picking the winners was a difficult task! Here are some hilarious examples:
And Dawn O’Porter, who put together THE BOOBY TRAP AND OTHER BITS AND BOOBS, also shared her biggest boob secret with us.
The party was definitely a success! Everyone showed up wearing glamorous dresses and high heels (which were kicked off half way through the evening). We all danced during the amazing performances of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kate Nash and Mel C, ate pies from Pie Minister and went home with some lovely goody bags.
Couldn’t make the party? Fortunately we have some great pictures and a video, so you can catch up on everything that happened at the Ball!
